So it Seems a Little Deranged- Insanity Deals

So it seems a little strange huh? Like perhaps someone forgot to take some of their afternoon medication or better yet they are just a lil bit crazy, delusional, deranged, unhinged or unbalanced! No really that is what it seems like to the rest of it, but in actuality it is a pure D. for deal!

What is the word for the day anyway or for that matter what is the daily word that keeps us coming back for more on a daily basis. It's called, "Insanity Deals." What to Wear Is it All That Important?

Sometimes it is very difficult in making the decision of what to wear. At least for some folks. For me, well I do sometimes just grab the next available thing hanging in the closet and go with it. Others like my significant other takes time, changes a couple of times and then asks the unanswerable question, "honey does this go together", or "does this look alright"?

Well of course it goes together and of course it looks alright. What else am I suppose to say? I know I'm suppose to be honest but I generally have to watch my honesty with some as I have been called brutal honest. That at times leaves a mark.

So I tend to give myself permission to be a little less than honest or a little above what I think in my honesty. Like the old man and his wife who just came up out of the cyclone cellar to find his home and everything in ruins. He says, "hey look ma, nothing the matter here, isn't it grand the wind stopped blowing"?

So I guess you get my point, only the old fart wasn't being dishonest with his wife he was being dishonest with his self. He really seen nothing wrong when in fact they had lost everything. Trust me, if you read back to a few months ago or last summer you will see that I went through a tornado and we lost pretty much everything. At that time it wasn't important to decide what we was going to wear, it was important to just have a little something to wear and for that we were grateful!

The next time you look into your wardrobe or closet, where ever you keep your next outfit, just remember it's more important to have it than what others are going to think about what you have on. Sure we get caught up in what others think way too often.

Walgreens-Express Scripts Dispute

This post brought to you by Walgreens. All opinions are 100% mine.

Imagine a pharmacy that offers more 24 hour outlets and more drive-thru locations than any other pharmacy in the nation. Walgreens does just this but now they are in a delimma with the discontinuation of Walgreens and Express Script. You see Express Script used to have a program specifically targeted for Walgreens as one of their pharmacy provider networks. Not any longer. As of January 1st, 2012 Express Script and Walgreens have failed to reach an agreement that will allow express script to continue to be a part of their valuable networks.

This is NOT an agreement that Walgreens is proud of nor endorses. They would have loved for express script to remain one of their primary providers.   This includes all Walgreens pharmacies nationwide and Duane Reade pharmacies in the New York City area.

Now patients are forced to drive farther, wait longer and deal with the inconveniences of finding another provider for their medication and refills. Also as a result some prescriptions are costing more and patients are having to deal with a new pharmacist as well. Imagine yourself in this situation. Not fun at all of course and frustrating as well. Below are some things that Walgreens did to attempt to continue a working relationship with Express Script:

• Did not ask for a rate increase in medication or refills
• Walgreens Prescription Savings Club (a special discount)
• Offered savings through 90 day supplies
• Offered an increase in savings by proposing using even more generic drug prescriptions
• And much much more to alleviate any pain to the consumer

In the long run Express Script seems more for it's own benefit than you the consumer and buyer of prescription drugs. We all know the cost of having to get our medication refilled on a monthly or even a 90 day supply basis. It's not fun going to the pharmacy and having to shell out our grocery money, our leisure time dollars, or a movie night or two a month toward our much needed medications. It just isn't happening.
What are you left to do?

For one don't give up on Walgreens as they appear to be doing their best to provide us with alternatives to help alleviate the pain of getting our medication/prescriptions filled. I just got off the phone with one of my doctors nurses in an attempt to gain some type of savings due to my own situation. A situation that many others are familiar with, the inability to be able to pay for the upcoming months drugs. She let me know of the alternatives that she is aware of and believe it or not it included Walgreens and their low-cost in medications from their pharmacies.

Winter Wonderland in the Land of OZ

This past week it has been in the 70 degree temperature range for most of the early and late afternoons. Not much wind and plenty of sunshine. Hey the grass was even beginning to green up a little. I had made the comment to a friend of mine that if it kept up we would have to dig the mower out and give it a once over so that it didn't get too high. NOT!

Obviously in the middle of January that is not going to happen but wow it has been such a fabulous Fall and Winter so far this year. Late 2011 was unseasonably warm and so far we have broken some records for the high temperatures.

However today and the rest of the week it is suppose to be colder than a well diggers behind and today it has already proven to take this much colder turn. For example today or last night it was down to around 14 degrees with 20 mile an hour winds so the temperature felt like 0 degrees. It also began to snow and ice some but hasn't amounted to too much thank goodness.

It is very cold out today as compared to this time last week but hey like I stated it is January and it is expected! I am so ready for spring and summer though, if you like the cold you can have this.

NOT!

How is your neck of the woods? Has it been unseasonably warm so far this year and not much precipitation. That is another thing we have not had very much snow of course with the warmer weather but we have not had very much rain either. We need some rain and or plenty of snow. The ponds and lakes here are looking a little bare around the edges.
